ArtsWest opening creepy fun.

This almost looks like a Janny Saville painting. The girls had a great time and won a prize for their zombie costumes.

The girls came with me to the opening and participated in the zombie festivities. The other artists’ work was really incredible. I loved it.

Xyta and Chloe riding the coaster and with Nichole Dement, curator. I left the red eye in for effect.

A photo of the girls at the show in the local paper ignited some controversy. In the article by West Seattle Blog, October’s West Seattle Art Walk: Driftwood, zombies, candy … (click to link through), a discussion thread has begun regarding censorship and age. Chloe eating an eyeball and the top prize winner of the costume constest.

The great thing is that we’re discussing issues.
