Chain Letter
September 16, 2011 at 3:09 PM
Chain Letter by Jeffrey Crussell released today featuring many artists including me. Available at Lulu
Early in the summer of 2011 we received an email from a fellow artist requesting participation in an art show at Shoshana Wayne Gallery located in Santa Monica, California called Chain Letter. Within 48 hours we received the same request from several other artists. Suddenly our basic math skills kicked in, calculating the possible participation of hundreds if not thousands of artists. July 22 marked the installation day for Chain Letter and by 9am the social network sites were buzzing with comments about traffic, two hour waits and disappointed people who were unable to participate. Witnessing this, we at Crussell Fine Arts felt a responsibility to these people and decided to create a Facebook version of the Chain Letter so that those who were turned away would still be seen in some capacity. Within hours people started to upload their images on our page and began to feel a little better. This catalog is a result of that day.
