This work includes a wide variety of experimental projects. I own the air is commentary on the subjectivity of owning things like the moon, the air waves, and human gene sequences. It's part of a larger curatorial proposal called, I own your subjective experience.
Skin paintings are an exploration of translucent paint without supports. I projected the video documentation from The Yellow Leaf performance against the triptych haiku. There's more to come on this series in the future.
The Residual portraits are created by placing canvas at the base of my easel as I paint my portraits. I capture the drips and splashes and splatters and action of the paint. In essence, this is the portrait that my painting paints.
