For the Love of Art

Chloe taking in Monsters by Nathan Margoni. I know the show is really good because the children were intensely engaged and really got the work.
Yesterday the show opened, the reception is today. I took the girls yesterday because I knew it would be less crowded and we could all enjoy it and look at it together. From what I understand there were about 100 people who came through. I think it’s an outstanding show. I feel a some energy in my gut today and I went to sleep last night thinking about my reaction to the show. I realized that I didn’t even look at my own work, except I noticed that there was a literature table adjacent to one of the paintings creating some awkward feng shui. I loved Jill Reynolds pieces.
In addition I was thrilled with the article that came out in The Journal News by Georgette Gouveia. It’s terrific that the artists in this show have the common gut passion that prevents them from painting from what will sell rather that where their ideas are taking them.
Xyta taking in Christina de Gennaro’s work. She went back three times to see these pieces.
Viewers looking at Alex Spangler, Carrie Levy’s work, John posing with Emil Alzamora who’s work I absolutely love!
